Statements

Statements are documents sent to donors to update them on their current donation status. There are three types of statements available; Thank You Receipts, Pledge Statements, and End of Year Tax Statement. All of the statements are optional and all are sent by email. 
 
Thank You Receipts can be sent following a gift. They give you the opportunity to thank the donor and provide them with a tax document.
 
Pledge Statements can be sent to anyone with an open pledge or just those who are lapsed in their pledge payments.
 
End of Year Tax Statements are the tax document that can be sent to all  donors who made donations in the previous year.
 
All three statements include a Letter body that you can create so you can word your message in any way you would like. For example, even though you may be sending pledge statements to those who are behind in their pledge payment, you can word the letter portion to be as understanding as you think appropriate. They also include the relevant gift and pledge information.
 
There is a fourth statement that doesn't fit above. It is the Credit Card Expiration report. You can use this email output to notify donors with open pledges that their credit cards are about to expire and giving them the ability to update them on line.
